Terms of Service

Welcome to Let's Deduct!. These Terms of Service govern your use of the app and the services we provide. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Let's Deduct!, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Description of Service

Let's Deduct! is an organizational and educational tool that helps you track charitable donations and business expenses, estimate fair market values, and generate summaries and IRS Form 8283. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. Not Tax, Legal, or Financial Advice

Let's Deduct! does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Fair market value estimates are for planning purposes only. You are responsible for determining the actual value of your donations and for your tax filings. Always consult a licensed CPA or tax professional before filing.

4. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your contact information current.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by uploading content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or contains malicious code; attempting to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access; or interfering with the service's operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans (Monthly, Annual, 5-Year, and Lifetime) and one-time credit packs are billed via Stripe. Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from the app or by contacting support, and you keep access until the end of your billing period. The 5-Year and Lifetime plans and credit packs are one-time purchases. Prices are subject to change with notice; changes do not affect active prepaid plans.

7. Refunds

Because the service grants immediate access to AI credits and premium features, payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will review your request. Statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction are not affected.

8. Free Plan & Limits

The free plan includes a one-time allotment of AI credits and limits on the number of donations and expense receipts. We may adjust these limits and available features at any time. Upgrading to a paid plan removes these limits according to the plan you select.

9. Your Content

You retain ownership of the donation, expense, and other records you enter ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload any photos or documents.

10. Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, the DeeDee mascot, software, fair-market-value databases, and branding, is owned by Let's Deduct! and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the service except as permitted by law.

11. Third-Party Services

The service integrates with third-party providers such as Stripe for payments, Google for Sheets export, and AI providers for image analysis. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Let's Deduct! and Let's Deduct! are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of tax savings or refund amounts arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if we discontinue a feature. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; your data will be removed within a reasonable time unless retention is required by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms in the app or by email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the jurisdiction in which Let's Deduct! operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to resolve disputes in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by local consumer-protection law.
